Time

When I was young, adults would alway mention "how time flies" or "enjoy this while your young".  Never really paying all that much attention, and perhaps dismissing the importance of their words, I just got busy with life.  Now of course I realize what those words meant.

This weekend I was looking at my nearly 21 year old daughter, an adult now and busy with school, work and finding her way in the world.  Then there is my 18 year old who is planning for the next stage of her life and worrying about making the right decisions.  Thank fully I have a 13 year olds who is full of enery, still asking me qustions and wanting to know what I think.

Now I know to cherrish these moments because, before I know it, she will be off finding her own way as well.

Fear...

I've been told more than once that I should "blog" my thoughts and suggestions.  I think that is because my family is tired of being the only ones to hear them.  Writing has never been my strength so to sit down and share thoughts through words is a frightening thought for me.

I've never really thought what I have to say is all that important but I do have suggestions that may make the world I live in run a little more smoothly - at least my little corner of the world.

I'm going to start with the crazy yellow flashing lights that have all of a sudden popped up around my town.  Now when your driving you have the option at most red lights to make a turn on a yellow flashing light.  I'm all for saving a few minutes during my commute but not at the risk of my life.  So when your out there driving 45 mph on a four lane road, with a slight hill and turn lanes, and want to turn on your yellow flashing light, please watch out for me.  As I tell my teenager daughters when they are learning to drive, look both ways and then look again!

Be safe!
